You Would Not Believe Why These Men Were Buried Alive in Ondo State

Ondo state is gradually gaining a reputation for heartless jungle justice. Earlier this month, the state was in the news after a mob lynched an alleged gay man to death. Now, there is yet another case of brutal jungle justice this time perpetrated by two brothers on two men.

On March 12, 2016, the two brothers, Omoniyi Alaleran and Oluwaseun Enikuomehin, buried Igbekele Orisabinole and Ogbaro Erinbo alive at Igbokoda, in Ilaje Local Government
Area of the State for allegedly stealing N130,000.

The brothers who are now in police custody in Akure, had accused the two men of stealing the money from their mother and had tortured the deceased severally, asking them to confess and produce the money,

Despite their pleas of being innocent, the siblings were said to have dug out a hole and pushed the deceased inside, before covering them up to their necks.

Speaking on the case, the Police spokesman Femi Joseph said,“We have almost concluded investigation on the matter. The suspects will be charged to court very soon.”
