Liverpool Cruise Into Europa League Semi Final After Dramatic 4-3 Win Over Dortmund

Liverpool FC of England reminded fans of football of their 2005 dramatic "Miracle of Istanbul" comeback win against AC Milan in that year's Champions League final when they did something similar by coming back from 3-1 down to beat Borussia Dortmund 4-3 in the second leg of their Europa league quarter final clash some hours back.

This win ensured that Liverpool progress to the semi final of the Europa League and if they win the Europa league, they would be guaranteed a spot in the Champions League next season.

With the first leg in Dortmund ending in a 1-1 draw, most people tipped Liverpool to finish the job swiftly in the second leg in Anfield. But, it started like a nightmare for the Reds. Within nine minutes, Dortmund were already two goals up after Mkhitaryan and Aubemeyang scored. The second half started and Liverpool got a goal back through Divock Origi but Dortmund immediately responded with a goal from Marco Reus to make the score line 3-1.

This was when the "You'll Never Walk Alone" spirit of Liverpool kicked in and within 15 minutes to the end of the game, Liverpool got three goals via Coutinho, Sakho and the dramatic winner in the 91st minute through a Dejan Lovren header.

Liverpool won the game 4-3 (5-4 on aggregate) sending the whole Anfield stadium and the internet on fire.
